2020, a year full of sustainability success

For most of us, 2020 has been full of twists and turns and rich emotions. We at Metrio wanted to highlight all the CSR achievements of our community and congratulate each of our clients.

Metrio’s clients are recognized for their engagement in sustainability 

In February, Cascades, CN and CP were nominated in the Carbon Clean 200 ranking. This ranking classifies the top 200 public companies that are making the greatest contribution to the energy transition.

In July, more than 25% of our clients were nominated as Best Corporate Citizens by Corporate Knights. Congratulations to Hydro Québec, La Société des Transports de Montréal, TC Transcontinental, BMO, Transat, CN, Desjardins, Energir, Kruger, Cascades and Cogeco for this achievement!

In August, Energir was acknowledged as a leader in the adoption of ESG best practices by Espace de Concertation sur les Pratiques d'Approvisionnement Responsable (ECPAR). 

In November, BMO was ranked in the top 10% of the DJSI most sustainable companies worldwide!

Several CSR firsts in Europe and North America

In June, Groupe UP launched the very first fully digital report of the Declaration of Extra-Financial Performance (DPEF in french).

In July, Nutrinor launched the first Sustainable Agriculture Pact with the aim of placing the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec among the leaders in sustainable agriculture. Congratulations for this great initiative!

This Autumn, Aldo has again been certified carbon neutral for the third consecutive year!

This year, many have decided to trust Metrio to disclose extra-financial performance through our Communication Module. We would like to thank and congratulate the Association de l’Aluminium du Québec, the Aéroport de Montréal, Aldo, L’association Minière du Québec, BRP, Cascades, CN, Cogeco, Crescent Point, Equinox Gold,  Energir, Nutrinor, Parex Resources, and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for choosing Metrio to share sustainability insights and highlights with all of your stakeholders. As you know, Metrio facilitates the sustainability reporting process so sustainability professionals can focus on what really matters. In 2020, over 5,000 people tracked more than 8,000 KPIs through their Metrio accounts. So, thank you!
