Job Description and Responsibilities

We are looking for a sales representative for the United States. This person will join Metrio's business development team.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development for North America, the role associated with this position is to increase the company's revenues through the development of new customer accounts. The ideal candidate has sales experience as well as expertise in the areas of SaaS software and sustainable development.

This person will understand the clients' objectives and will act as their advisor in the use of our ESG and CSR reporting platform. He/she will collect customer comments and requests and work with internal teams to respond to them. He/she will need to demonstrate strong business acumen, autonomy, excellent communication skills and perseverance. More specifically, the responsibilities are:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives;
  • Identify opportunities and close deals with new customers;
  • Perform software presentations;
  • Write proposals and respond to calls for tenders;
  • Follow up on sales progress through our CRM software;
  • Participate in industry events;
  • Collaborate with other teams to manage customer requests;
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices to advise customers.

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in SaaS or ESG/CSR software;
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French (written and spoken);
  • Proven presentation, customer service and contracting skills;
  • Ability to use a CRM tool to effectively prospect, identify and close sales opportunities;
  • University degree (bachelor's level) in a field relevant to the position;
  • Availability for business travel in North America;
  • Business network in the ESG/RSE field with companies in the United States an asset.
