UX/UI Designer

As a UX/UI designer, you will be the link between our team and our international clients (Target, Dow, Air Canada etc...) by working on software interfaces. Your role will be key to incorporate their feedback and optimize the experience of our users in the Metrio strategy.  

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct user workshops and stakeholder interviews to discover range of opportunities for experience improvement;
  • Facilitate client vision session, leading user experience workshops to determine user needs, data requirements and compile them into user stories, user flows and storyboards;
  • Understand business rules, user-system interaction, data models and flows, to ideate and translate concept from ideation to viable product;
  • Create intuitive, data-driven, human oriented app wireframes and produce mock-ups and prototypes;
  • Collaborate with UI developers to provide integration solutions for applications; 
  • Identify existing design problems and propose solutions;
  • Work directly with the product team under the supervision of the Product Designer and interact with our sales and engineering teams.  

Your profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Graphic / Visual design (or equivalent training), Computer Sciences; Software Engineering; 
  • Experience in a delivery-driven environment in software companies;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in using UI/UX design best practices to design solutions, responsive design and Front-End Development;
  • Fluency in current software development tooling and production environments including Sketch, Figma, Zeplin, Abstract, InVision, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
  • Ability to work with business clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision;
  • Portfolio demonstrating examples of shipped products including specific contributions in the design directions and decisions;
  • Bilingualism, written and spoken (English and French).
